Soul Sides Vol. 1 I was already a big fan of Weldon Irvine's music; then I had the opportunity to interview him around 2000, only to be devastated by his suicide two years later. "Morning Sunrise" was a song by Irvine's long-time collaborator Don Blackman and went unreleased for many years until a 1999 anthology (The Sisters) resurrected it; a gorgeous tune with elegiac quality that seems fitting for the late composer. Sample.
